This letter is in reference to your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)
request dated November 9, 2009. Specifically, you request, “records
pertaining to Peace Corps Partnership Program ' and any reports
published by the Office of Private Sector Initiatives (OPSI) in
addition to the Building Bridges newsletter since January 2007. All
project summary information no longer available at the PC Partnership
website since January 2007. All contextual information not listed in
the summary that would qualify as project documentation and/or lessons
learned and/or completed project follow-up reporting by Peace Corps on
projects in all countries since January 2007.”
We have determined that the cost for searching for responsive documents will exceed the amount you agree to pay in your request. Pursuant to the Code of Federal Regulations 22 CFR § 303.13, we estimate that the cost to search for responsive records will be approximately $3261.92. This is based on an estimated 148 hours of search time (150 hours minus 2 hours free search time) at the actual salary rate of the employee conducting the search ($19 per hour, plus 16 percent of the employee's salary rate). This estimate does not include the cost of reproducing documents because until the search is completed, we have no way to estimate how many documents, if any, would need to be copied. We will notify you in advance if there is a duplication fee.
Pursuant to 22 CFR § 303.13 because the fees exceeds $250.00, we are
requesting a deposit on the estimated fee in the amount of $1087.
Please make your check or money order payable to the Treasury of the
United States and send it to Peace Corps FOIA Officer, 1111 20th
Street NW, Washington, DC 20526. Until we receive a deposit, no
further action will be taken by this office.
