The students of faculty of Chernivtsi Gymnasium #5, a secondary school in the Ukraine, is requesting Partnership assistance to enhance their resource center. The English teachers of Gymnasium #5 began the creation of their resource center in 1996 in order to provide their students with the skills in English they would need for future professional success. Partnership funds will be used to purchase new books, multi-media equipment such as a television, VCR, and cassette player, and a copy machine for the distribution and collection of informative articles.

Serving for two years in the Peace Corps may seem like a long time, but Close of Service may come faster than you expect. Volunteers can make the most of their time in-country through well organized material, collaboration and knowledge sharing. Current Volunteers should still keep in mind their own safety and security, cultural sensitivity, and the fact they are in-country representing the United States.
