About Julie Tunnell Julie Tunnell was a volunteer in Malawi from 1985-1987. First assigned to teach French at Phwezi Secondary School, she was transfered after one term to Robert Blake Secondary School near Dowa. There she taught French and History.

In 1993 Julie rejoined the Peace Corps and was sent to the Eastern Caribbean. She was assigned to the country of Grenada and spent her first year there on the island of Carriacou. During that time she opened a branch of the Grenada Public Library system and trained a local staff person to run it. During her second year she moved to St. George's, the capitol of Grenada, to work in the National Archive at the main branch of the Grenada Public Library.
