Kitchen for Secondary School

Info about the Kitchen for Secondary School
A Secondary School in a village in Tanzania is asking for your help in the construction of a new kitchen.
A new kitchen at the Secondary School will be used to feed approximately 75 female boarders living in the dormitory on campus. The previous kitchen (which has recently collapsed) only supported 25 students and so the school’s dormitory facility went under-utilized. By building a new, larger capacity kitchen, the school will be able to fully accommodate 75 female students in the dormitory.
The school’s dormitory was constructed in 2007 with donations from several Rotary Clubs. The purpose of the dormitory is to house female students and thereby protect them from sexual assault at the hands of soldiers stationed at the nearby army base. Because of the long walk between their homes and schools, many female students are at high risk for assault as they walk to and from school, and this has been a significant problem for some time. By constructing a new kitchen, the school will be able to extend its protection to a total of 75 students per year.
