Info about the Pampa Grande Library
Pampa Grande is a farming community located in the high valleys of Cochabamba. The community has basic services, electricity, potable water, phones, and one school which serves six surrounding communities. There are limited resources for the school and teachers often only have one text book for a class of 30 students. A community library has been identified as a critical need by the community to address the limited school resources as well as, offering other community members access to literacy classes and place to socialize. The community has donated land for the library, the municipal government donated the services of a professional architect and the local government is donating construction supplies. Pampa Grande is requesting Partnership assistance to furnish and purchase supplies for the library.
