Redencion Pampa (Redemption Land) is a small agricultural community. A year and a half ago the local government cancelled a high school breakfast program, due to insufficient funds. As over half the students must walk approximate 7 km each way, the breakfast program offered a nutritional snack and hot drink before school started. The absence of this program has been keenly felt. The organizations of parents and high school staff have been trying to reinstate the program, without success. The idea of an orchard grew out of this need. The high school students will be responsible for caring for the orchard and within three years will have access to fresh fruit every morning. The community has already started construction of a well for an irrigation system and will contribute the land, labor and some materials for the orchard. They are requesting Partnership assistance to purchase an electric pump, the trees, materials for the irrigation system, and other tools and supplies.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
