Justin Parmenter served as a TEFL volunteer in Permet from 1995 to 1997. He later spent 2 years teaching English in Istanbul before entering the Peace Corps Fellows program at Northern Arizona University. Justin taught from 1999 to 2002 on the White Mountain Apache Reservation. In 2006 he was awarded a National Board Certificate. He now teaches 7th grade English at Smith Academy of International Languages in Charlotte, NC and co-heads that school's French exchange program. Most every day he wonders whatever possessed him to trust that sidewalk qofte.
