Info about the Improving Access to Museum Library Information
The library room of the Archaeological Museum in a Bulgarian city is currently disorganized and lacking updated information. The books, articles and papers presently kept in the library room are not filed or alphabetized, and are kept on old metal shelved cabinets.
This project aims to purchase new books and shelves for the library, and add a computer to keep all information organized and catalogued. By mounting new shelves on the wall, there will be more room to install the new computer and monitor screen in the library. The improved library will encourage interested individuals to either go online or personally visit and examine relevant text material regarding the museum’s artifacts.
The museum staff will allocate the time to input data into the computer and install shelving to better accommodate the inventoried pieces. The improved library will allow the community greater access to historically valuable information.
