This project is designed to build capacity in the domain of community health among the local populations in rural villages in South Africa. The project will be a training of trainers, and will provide thirty-five community leaders (teachers, health clinic personnel, community health agents, peer educators and community development agents) with basic training on HIV/AIDS, malaria prevention, nutrition, and hygiene and sanitation.
Additionally, the project will provide four local women’s groups with the advanced knowledge and business skills necessary to better manage their community moringa fields and market their moringa products for income generation.
