Zachary Jean Chartkoff is a nurse currently living and writing in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with his wife Shelby and their three cats. He received his MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.

Over the years he has fueled his addiction for words with a wide range of pursuits and adventures including archaeological digs, being the first volunteer lighthouse tour guide at the Au Sable Light on the shores of Lake Superior (summer of 1988) as well as sharing his love of writing with others at local poetry readings around lower Michigan, Las Vegas and San Francisco.

He currently works with Alzheimer's patients in an area nursing home though it is his hope to one day move somewhere salty and wet and go cave diving with great white sharks.

He can be reached at zachary [dot] jean [at] gmail [dot] com.
